United States
Which US rules apply when you contact leads on WhatsApp or by phone?
WhatsApp’s own business policy applies everywhere, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act applies to certain US calls and texts. The FCC says an AI-generated voice counts as an artificial voice under that Act. Florida adds its own telephone-solicitation statute. Cronwick LLC makes Voxomate. A feature in Voxomate does not supply the consent those laws describe. This is not legal advice.
Cronwick LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, makes Voxomate for WhatsApp automation and Hostanova Pro for hotel management.
This page is general information, not legal, tax, or compliance advice. Rules change. Read the sources at the bottom or ask a lawyer before you rely on them.
Reviewed
Three layers, and none of them replaces the others.
WhatsApp can restrict a business that ignores WhatsApp’s policy. The TCPA can restrict a call or text even when WhatsApp is happy. A state statute can add registration or calling-hour rules. Voxomate can send the WhatsApp message or place the optional call. You still choose who is contacted.
| Layer | What it covers | Where to read it |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp policy | Business-initiated WhatsApp messages | WhatsApp Business Policy |
| TCPA | Certain calls and texts in the US | 47 U.S.C. § 227 |
| FCC, 2024 | AI-generated voices treated as artificial | FCC declaratory ruling |
| FTC | Telemarketing Sales Rule | FTC rule page |
| Florida | Telephone solicitation | Fla. Stat. § 501.059 |
Do not treat all fifty states as one script.
This site does not publish fifty state pages that swap the state name. Florida’s statute is linked because it is specific. Other states have their own texts. If you call into a state, read that state’s current statute or hire counsel there.
Voxomate is the Cronwick LLC product for this job. Its own terms govern an account there.
