What should a Florida hotel check before buying management software?
A Florida hotel should confirm its county tourist development tax and Florida’s telephone-solicitation statute before it buys software that messages guests. Counties levy tourist development taxes under Florida law. Florida Statutes section 501.059 restricts certain telephone solicitation. Cronwick LLC makes Hostanova Pro for the stay and Voxomate for WhatsApp. Neither file registers the hotel with a county.

Tourist development tax is a county tax, not one statewide rate.
Florida Statutes section 125.0104 authorizes counties to levy a tourist development tax on short-term rentals. A large county such as Miami-Dade may levy it. The rate and the return belong to that county. Confirm the current levy with the county before you configure a folio.
Florida’s telephone-solicitation statute is separate from WhatsApp’s rules.
Section 501.059 limits how businesses may solicit by telephone, including some autodialed and recorded calls. A WhatsApp opt-in does not answer that statute. Read the statute, or ask a Florida lawyer, before a voice agent calls Florida numbers.
Cronwick LLC does not have an office in this state.
Cronwick LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. It sells software to hotels in the United States. It does not claim a street address, a front desk, or a local tax registration in the state this page discusses. Hostanova Pro does not file your lodging-tax return.
Hostanova Pro is the Cronwick LLC product for this job. Its own terms govern an account there.
