A useful automation has a trigger, a condition, and a result. A new message can be the trigger. A keyword or a missing field can be the condition. The result can be a reply, a tag, or an assignment to a person.
If you cannot name the trigger, you do not have an automation yet. You have a hope that the inbox will behave.
The phone app and a software product are not the same tool.
