How do you import OTA bookings into a hotel PMS?
Import an OTA booking by reading the confirmation the OTA already emailed and creating the reservation from the fields in that email. Do not retype it into a second calendar. Cronwick LLC makes Hostanova Pro, which can optionally read Gmail for Booking.com, Agoda, Airbnb, and Expedia confirmations. The connection is read-only and only runs when the hotel turns it on.

The inbox permission is narrower than “read my email.”
Hostanova Pro asks for read-only Gmail access and says it looks for OTA confirmations and bank payment alerts. Personal mail is out of scope. Disconnecting the inbox removes the reason to read it. The product privacy policy is the full limit.
An imported reservation still needs a room and a folio.
The email is not the stay. Someone, or a rule, still assigns the room and opens the bill. If two OTAs sell the same room for the same night, the import will not invent a second room.
