What should a Texas hotel check before buying management software?
A Texas hotel collects state hotel occupancy tax through the Texas Comptroller, and cities and some counties can add a local hotel tax. Software should keep the room charge those taxes apply to. Cronwick LLC makes Hostanova Pro for reservations and folios. Hostanova Pro does not file the Comptroller’s return, and Cronwick LLC has no Texas office.
Cronwick LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, makes Voxomate for WhatsApp automation and Hostanova Pro for hotel management.

The Comptroller states who must collect the tax.
Hotel owners, operators, and managers collect state hotel occupancy tax from guests, and the Comptroller’s page also covers some short-term rentals and third-party rental companies. Read that page for the current threshold, rate, and due date. This guide does not repeat the rate, because the Comptroller can change it.
Cities and some counties add a local hotel tax.
The Comptroller’s page says cities and certain counties may impose an additional local hotel tax, collected by the local authority. A folio has to be able to show that local tax apart from the state tax. Hostanova Pro can store a tax line on an invoice. It does not publish the local rate.
Cronwick LLC does not have an office in this state.
Cronwick LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. It sells software to hotels in the United States. It does not claim a street address, a front desk, or a local tax registration in the state this page discusses. Hostanova Pro does not file your lodging-tax return.
Hostanova Pro is the Cronwick LLC product for this job. Its own terms govern an account there.
